Terms and Conditions - Backing Small Businesses with a $5K Energy Boost Competition
Promoter
The promoter of this competition is Choice Energy Pty Ltd ABN 64 935 373 830, located at 580 St Kilda Road, Melbourne VIC 3004.
Eligibility
a. Entry is open to Australian businesses located in all states and territories except Northern Territory (NT), South Australia (SA), and Western Australia (WA).
b. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older and authorised to act on behalf of the business.
c. Employees and immediate family members of the promoter and associated agencies are ineligible to enter.
Competition Period
The competition commences at 3:00pm on 18 February 2026 and closes at 11:59pm on 31 March 2026. (Competition Period) Entries received outside this period will not be accepted.
How to Enter
To enter, eligible businesses must:
Provide Choice Energy with a copy of their most recent energy bill during the Competition Period; and
Successfully switch or renew their energy contract through Choice Energy during the Completion Period.
Eligible businesses will receive one (1) entry into the draw upon successful completion of the above requirements.
Strictly one (1) entry is permitted per business (based on ABN)
Prize
One (1) winning business will receive $5,000 AUD (including GST).
The Prize will be paid by electronic funds transfer (EFT) to the winner’s nominated Australian business bank account.
The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for goods or services.
The winner must provide a valid ABN and bank account details in order to receive the Prize.
Winner Selection
The winner will be selected via a computer-generated random draw conducted at 580 St Kilda Road, Melbourne VIC 3004 on 8 April 2026 at 3:00pm AEST. The draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Notification of Winner
The winner will be notified in writing by email and/or by phone within (10) business days of the draw.
If the winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or does not claim the Prize within fourteen (14) days of notification, Choice Energy reserves the right to conduct a redraw.
Publication of Winner
The name of the winning business may be published on the Choice Energy website following successful contact and verification.
Privacy
All personal information submitted by entrants will be handled in accordance with Choice Energy's privacy policy and may be used to administer this competition and for future marketing purposes, unless the entrant opts out.
General
a. Choice Energy reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or does not comply with these terms and conditions.
b. Choice Energy accepts no responsibility for any late, lost, or misdirected entries.
c. Choice Energy shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from the conduct of the competition or the acceptance of the prize.
